These'll be real quick, since I'm tired and the details are quickly fading. "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" was beyond spectacular as a closer to the Michael Bay-directed trilogy. The human element finally seemed to take more of a back seat, even if it was still about half-way through the final movie to do so. The scales of the climax were incredible, pretty much leveling Chicago in the process. Shockwave's Driller was terrifying, Sentinel Prime's true colors were almost unbelievable, and the results of the final battle are breath-taking. Sure, DOTM probably has that most CG of any blockbuster since "Avatar", but that doesn't mean it was b

No, it's not a movie review this time, but let's see if I can string you along the same path. Imagine a world, governed by a benevolent princess for the last thousand years after she banished a great evil into the moon itself. Now, when the stars align in the modern day, and the great evil is threatening its release, the princess' closest and most adherent student tasks herself with finding a way to stop it. This week, Green Lantern! Millions of years ago, the Guardians of the Universe harnessed the green force of willpower and founded the Green Lantern Corps, a universal law-enforcement agency. Abin Sur, GL of Sector 2814, became a legendary hero when he defeated Parallax, the living embodiment of Fear (the yellow energy, and the only true weakness of the GL powers). Parallax was sealled away on Ryut, a dead planet in Sector 666, but is freed in the present day when a trio of innocent aliens stumbles upon his chamber.
